INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study
Computerized Personnel Management Systems (CPMS) have become integral tools for organizations to efficiently manage their human resources. The major task facing the present day management is getting developed and maintaining of statistical personnel. It has been discovered that many organizations have a detailed written and computerized policies for production, finance, public relations, etc. but do away with making explicit statement about personnel matter other than simple regulations affecting/safety terms and conditions of employment.
Personnel management in this project will be presented as a process by which the management can achieve goals and objectives of the organization with contributions from all employees. However, this process involves ideas of statistical information hence there is need for facilities to enable us accumulate analysis and distributes equitably such information.
Therefore, it is in the light of the above, the personnel management are distinct forms depending on individual establishment setup, for instance, Federal Statistics agency, it brings about efficiency and effectiveness. For accurate flow of quality information process, the personnel management has been found to be effective and accurate tools as a good alternative to conventional method.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the widespread adoption of CPMS, there remains a need to assess their effectiveness and impact on organizational performance. Issues such as system compatibility, user adoption, and overall efficiency warrant investigation to ensure that CPMS implementation aligns with organizational goals and enhances workforce management.
1.3 Objectives of the Study
The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of implementing a Computerized Personnel Management System. Specific objectives include:
i. To evaluate the impact of CPMS on employee data management.
ii. To determine the effect of CPMS on payroll accuracy and timeliness.
iii. To find out the influence of CPMS on employee performance evaluation processes.
1.4 Research Questions

1.5 Research Hypotheses
Hypothesis I
H0: There is no significant impact of CPMS on employee data management.
H1: There is a significant impact of CPMS on employee data management.
Hypothesis II
H0: There is no significant effect of CPMS on payroll accuracy and timeliness.
H2: There is a significant effect of CPMS on payroll accuracy and timeliness.
Hypothesis III
H0: There is no significant influence of CPMS on employee performance evaluation processes.
H3: There is a significant influence of CPMS on employee performance evaluation processes.
1.6 Significance of the Study
This study's findings will provide valuable insights for organizations considering or currently utilizing CPMS. Understanding the impact of CPMS on various aspects of personnel management can guide decision-making processes, leading to enhanced efficiency, cost savings, and improved employee satisfaction.
1.7 Scope of the Study
This study will focus on assessing the impact of CPMS within a select group of organizations across different industries. The scope includes evaluating the system's effectiveness in managing employee data, payroll processes, and performance evaluation.
1.8 Limitations of the Study
Limitations of this study may include constraints related to access to data, variations in CPMS implementation across organizations, and potential biases in participant responses. Additionally, external factors such as economic conditions and technological advancements may influence study outcomes.
